Only improvement i predict will be less bugs and less skills/concepts that make absolutely no sense.

played for 2 hours. like others said, if you enjoyed the first one you will enjoy this. just don't take the storyline or anything seriously

I enjoyed the first to an extend, in my heart i know it sucked and was atrocious, total rip off etc, but i still kinda enjoyed it. Certainly not willing to waste money on another one knowing it's basically Dead Island 1.5..

completed the game. the game was okay. not GOTY for me but not a terrible one either. it short though compared to the first one

here are my stats after completing both games. i did not play the DLC missions or replay the game a 2nd time for the first one

It's smaller than Dead Island? That's awkward.

I might get it, I liked Dead Island, killing zombies actually felt fun in that game, even though the quests were very generic, I didn't really mind.

pretty much. there are only 2 big places in the game excluding those small stuff like labs etc
