GT-A1 is the fastest, but with terrible handling (max speed about 450 sth in which it is measured). in Single Player game it is impossible to go faster than 5-10, because when you enter it you got Wang Car bonus and you are automaticly teleported to "Wang Cars" building.
Then next is Meteor - SRS car - It can run+/- 415 - as train runs exactly 400 you can see, that this car is faster. Although it often spins on turns (but is WAY easier to be driven, than GT-A1)
Then - Furore GT - About 390-395 - little slower than train, weird and VERY easy steering (turns very sharp on high and low speed, but looses a lot of speed on it), oil resistant, seems to have REAR wheel steering!
. IMHO very good car.
After this there is a lot of speed cars, that differs in mass, acceleration, top speed (but a little bit), and handling. Some fast ones:
-Z-Type - Very lightweight and fast gang car with sharp steering. Accelerates very fast, but it can be easily stopped when it hits something.
-Wellrad - Fast, neutral handling, and medicore mass makes this car quite nice
-B-type - similar to Wellrad, but accelerates little faster
-Benson - not best one, not worst one, handles little stiff, but you can get used to this.
-A-type - seems to be faster than B-type, I don't like this car.
-Beamer - one of my favourites - Neutral, easy steering, and good acceleration.
-Michelli Roadster - In handling little similar to Beamer (only a bit harder), but it has little better max speed and great acceleration.
-Stinger - slower, worse acceleration, but PERFECT handling makes this average-fast car one of the best ones avaliable.
- Hakura - fast, and quite heavy. It looks like tuned up muscle car, but it handles way better.
-Rumbler - very fast, but I don't like it because of it's look. Handles, and acceerates as it should.
-Jefferson - Very funny (looks like half size sports car from ~30's), narrow and fast. Great for traffic jams
-Cop car - fast, great acceleration, but.. Light? It is not, as should be for a cop car...
After this cars there are few nearly as fast, as these ones.
-Jagular (or what it's name was) - emm... Fast, but nothing special
-trance AM - fast, but slow acceleration
-Shark - extremly good acceleration, but max speed only 350? It accelerates faster than B-type!
-T-rex, bad, bad acceleration, but... fast
-Miarra (gang version) - fast, good handling, etc. But not as fast, as cars listed before
For sure I forgot some other fast cars... Say which I forgot, and I'll write about them
