Maybe because you do not have enough RAM to play those games?
What about your PC specs post them too. smile.gif

It's not urgent, and it's quite expected, considering your PC specs.

Please, just please, stop posting such topics till you consider buying a new build, or at least stick to one topic.

E: Not to mention that this is probably your PC telling you to get a new one.

Also it'd be advisable to check CPU and GPu temperatures.

OK with the RAM. Maybe a power was down and it again returned. JUST KIDDING. Maybe something is up with your power supply.

And don't double post or triple post just edit it out. icon14.gif

Open the System Control Panel then click: Advanced->Startup and Recovery->Settings
Uncheck: Automatically restart
Click OK until you're out
Restart your system
Play the game again.
If you get a blue screen, in this case that's a good thing because it'll help narrow things down a bit but then also go to C:\Windows\Minidump you'll find 1 or more files in there get up to 3 of the newest ones (sort by date) and zip them and upload them place I have a debugging tool that can read them and see what is going on.
If the screen just goes black and does nothing then that sounds it could be a PSU dying or maybe a graphics card issue.

Use HWMonitor to measure temperatures during the game.

We also need to know your system spec and graphics settings.

You should check the temps while in game, not before.

Of course when you minimize the game Crysis is gonna use less RAM silly rolleyes.gif

2GB isn't enough for Crysis 2. Your PC will start paging like crazy

That's his point guys. He plays for a few minutes it sounds like and then the system restarts.
I doubt that that is really enough time to heat things up enough to cause the problem.
It takes several minutes before my GPU gets to 70+C while I'm in BF3, but then I have 2 monitors so I can watch the temps while gaming. Most people can't do that with since they only have 1 monitor.
However if whatever he uses has a logging system, that should at least tell him what the temps are up to the point where the system crashes. Problem is that most people like him know how/where to get programs like what he is using but don't bother to read everything and learn how to enable logging. No offense, CJ430.

Sorry, I was referring to the power supply getting too hot because of a fault fan.

@CJ430
Go to C:\Windows\Minidump and see if there are any files in there. If there is get the newest one, zip it, upload it, give the link.
And just to clarify when you say restart do you mean; it completely restarts in that the screen goes blank then the restarts the exact same as if you told Windows to restart, or do you mean that the screen goes blank but you still have to physically do something to make it come back to life again.

@nightwalker83
It takes a good while for the PSU to start heating up, just like everything else, once a strong enough load it put to it. His games are crashing with just a few minutes. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be enough time to cause this.
