Hi,

Just wondering if I could buy the Steam versions of Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wraith and Red Alert 3: Uprising even though I have the other games on dvd and play them? Is this possible or are those games addons which require you to have the Steam version of a game first?

No, I don't own the games mentioned above but nearly all the others in the series.

You don't need Red Alert 3 to play Uprising. Uprising is a stand-alone game.

Normally if its dlc you require the steam version of the game to play.

Kane's Wrath is an expansion pack that requires CNC3 to work. So I believe you need CNC3 on steam for it to work. Uprising is standalone, so you don't need Red Alert 3 to make it work. A general rule, if an expansion needs the original game, you need that game on steam.

Just so you know, Command and Conquer 3 and all of the other CNCs on steam are on sale right now. So if you really want Kane's Wrath on steam, now is the time to buy it.
