Whenever I play instant play everything works for the most part but occasionally I will come across a player that loops. Like they will run right by me then they will reset and do it again. Is this lag on my end or what is the problem?

Of course they do it on purpose! Lagswitching Is a cheat ! If ur hiding behind a wall these c*nts use it to teleport near u so They Can kill u without ANY problems... Thats sad, because u cant do sh*t against theses fkers so i suggest u to leave the game when u see 1 !

En fait un lagswitch est une triche qui permet de te débarrasser de tes ennemies facilement, ça consiste à faire beuguer ta connection internet afin que tu puisse te déplacer sur le terrain sans que tes ennemies te voient! En fait celui qui utilise un lagswitch se déplace normalement et peu approcher ses ennemies tranquillement, et le fait que tu ne puisse voir le lagswitcheur c'est que tu ne peut pas le voir se déplacer sur ton écran pendant qu'il utilise !! Mais un lagswitch ne peut être utilisé que pendant une courte période, 20 secondes au plus, sinon le lagswitch te déconnecte. Enfin bref, tout sa pour dire que c'est impossible de contrer un lagswitcheur en restant derrière un mur.

Yes Google traduction sucks lol thats not really good french but i basically understood what u mean

To make it simple, a lagswitch Is a thing that make ur internet freeze, so, while ur lagswitch Is active, u can moove but ur ennemy wont see u mooving on his screen, till u stop using lagswitch, thats why u see them teleporting, because They mooved while u Still see them inactiv, so when the lagswitch stop u can see them back, and most of the time They are just behind u lol

Does said player usually leave the game after that?

Lag switches aren't nearly as common as this other guy would have you believe. Not everyone is cheating.

Not everyone, yea, but most of the players on GTA are Bad loosers and they dont like to lose again and again so when They see you ( me for exemple ) They automatically try to cheat to beat u just because They cant win by legit ways, thats just sad, because when ur good --> mad noobs cheats against u and when ur not good --> peoples insult u and They sent u 50 messages to say They Owned u ... Peoples on GTA are so stupid seriously, thats just a video game ! They take it too seriously, like if it Was their own lifes in the game...

This game Is full of retarded kids, lagswitchers are just one part of all the cheaters, dont Forget the glitchers, modders, etc...

No, no, no, I think Siren was talking about when someone runs for a short distance, then gets "reset" 5 meters back or something like that and runs again and gets reset again and so on and so on, not lagswitches. If you were talking about that, Siren, then yes, I think it is lag on their end.

There are three possibilities here;
1. It's just the lag you get before a player leaves.
2. The player is constantly lagging due to slow internet (this is common with KSA players, as they usually have a speed of 1 to 4 Mbps).
3. Lag switch.
The third option isn't likely. There aren't many lag switchers around, and they usually play DM or TDM.
If some guy is "looping", just ignore it, he's probably about to leave.
