I have an idea that might be cool. You know how on YouTube profiles you can set videos to automatically play? How about we do that here? I don't know how the embedding would work, but it's just an idea for the mods and admins. It'd be cool to have like our own theme songs play on our profiles when people click on them.

What does everyone else think? Good, bad? Wouldn't work?

That's a bad idea. It would be just annoying for most people.

I agree with Original Light. Sorry but it's not a good idea. Here's why I feel it is not a good idea.
It'll be used in a wrong manner by the trolls. They'd set some sorta porn realated or any other adult related video/speech/sound as their profile music.

Have you ever been in this situation: You're listening to some nice music, browsing the net... You click on a Tumblr page or some other blog, or site, or MySpace (lol) and suddenly you hear some terrible, terrible music blasting through at 96kbps, which renders your music inaudible and forces you to listen to whatever crap the creator of the page made you listen to. It's awful and angering.

Plus, having your own theme song is kinda... lame.

I usually just mute it or turn it off then continue playing whatever I was listening to.

Again, it'd be optional and you'd be able to mute it or turn it off like you'd do on YouTube.

Anyway, it was just an idea.

On the subject, an Admin would have to correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Youtube auto play codes work on this forum.

OT: @OP: I don't think there is any function in IPS Board. Maybe in Version 1.5 or 2? But, this forum hasn't requested any of these since 10 years so they are fine with it. Though, a music theme for Gang Topics would be good as it will show their personality.

We disabled auto-play on YT vids because stupid people decided it would be funny to auto-play annoying sh*t.

And I doubt we'll be supporting profile music anytime soon.
