There are Xbox emulator from a few topics below, Xpadder, Pinnacle Game Profiler and none of those seem to map acceleration and braking on gamepad analog stick properly, only like a button. There certainly has to be some solution, I mean there was SAAC for San Andreas which was actually perfect and it's almost the same age as San Andreas itself, so it's kinda hard to believe there's nothing for IV at the moment... Has anyone ever managed to map analog acceleration to a gamepad or wheel which is not an Xbox one?

The newer Xbox Pad emulator can map the Xbox Pad's analog triggers to whatever your pad has, and if your pad has analog triggers, or analog axis', then you simply find the id number for the button/axis you want to map to and add the letter "a" for axis, or "s" for slider, at the start.

For example, in the x360ce.ini

Left Trigger=5
Right Trigger=6

If those numbers are analog, change to

Left Trigger=a5
Right Trigger=a6

If those numbers are sliders, change to

Left Trigger=s5
Right Trigger=s6

Latest version at the very bottom. Use XInputTest.exe, in the archive, to test if your pad works with this emulator/wrapper.

Not sure if this could be applied but I've got my Dualshock 3 hooked up to my PC and it gives me analogue gas and brake triggers, I've got this Driver and software thing called MotioninJoy which allows full use of a dualshock 3 on PC. It even lets you emulate a 360 controller and that's how I get it working in GTA4 as well as any other game designed for it.

Tried it with my Rumblepad2, didn't help... It seems to be supporting only DS3. Does anyone play GTAIV with logitech gamepads?
