I thought my laptop could play GTA IV since it played newer games like Skyrim and Deus Ex Human Revolution and L.A. Noire Complete Edition with no problem's what so ever
but GTA IV wont let me change screen resolution size to 1600x 900 or full screen or turn down graphic settings
I added my games exe to my Nvidia control panel and changed the graphic processor to "use global setting (integrated graphics)" and that didn't work and when I drive a bit there's floating walking people above in the sky!..
I bought GTA IV from steam yesterday GTA IV Complete Bundle is the one I purchased
My game specs are
Dell Inspiron N7110 MS Windows 7 home premium 64bit SP1 Intel Core i5-2410M @2.30GHz, 6.0GB Ram , Intel HD Graghics Family, video card NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M
I Finance my Laptop through Dell Canada financial and it wont be paid off tell Spring of 2014 and I can't afford a new PC and sold my gaming PC a couple of years ago, it had a 1gb video card and 500 watt power supply, stupid decision I regret
Here's some screenshots I took and in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto IV beside the games exe are these two files gta4Browser and gtaEncoder

how game looks once launched
UpdateI googled
GTA IV I cannot change settings and screen size which lead me to steam forums mentioning -norestrictions -nomemrestrict but not explaining properly how to use it, so I googled GTA IV -norestrictions -nomemrestrict which lead me to this site How To Bypass GTA IV Memory Restrictions[/URL] and the instructions worked and helped and I was able to change screen resolution and other graphic settings, still have game lag so may need to play with additional graphic settings, may have to change the settings in my Nvidia control panel for graphic processor to high-performance NVIDIA processor again from "use global setting (integrated graphics)"
