Hey guys, we meet again. I'm gonna show you another DYOM trick, this is my 2nd tutorial (see the 1st one here). Alright, this trick is how to make player fall from high places without losing any health, with more effects. Let's do this! 1/ Choose a high place, as high as possible. 2/ You can choose to make the player jump from the building Or add a teleport over the edge of the building.
3/ Fall from the building to see the time to fall from the top to the bottom. This is important. 4/ For example it took 5 seconds, then add a timeout and set to 3-4 seconds, test it. 5/ Then add a 2nd teleport below the 1st one (on the top of the building) That's it! Now, let's add some effects...
Select the timeout objective, than add a 2nd one and set it to 0 seconds. Then select the 1st timeout and add explosions, don't forget to decrease the time of the timeout because explosions take time to spawn. You must test it!
Create a landing spot, you can do this by adding object like crate, broken crate,... (the player can't fall directly on the ground, right?) This will make it more realistic.
Add actors carrying a bazooka and place them here (on an object of course)
This will make more explosion sounds without spawning explosions.
TIP:
When using explosion, the time of the 1st timeout depend on how high the building is, and how many explosion you added. Please be patient and test it 4-5 times, this step is really time-consuming sometimes. So again, be patient!!!
