I am trying to redeine the contols from W.S,A, D to forward & back controls but keep getting the "Critical Control is unmapped" message.

I have read the forums & have downloaded the controlmap.dat file.
It then says to put it in my "savegame" folder.
I have searched & can't find the folder.
Please help!

that simply means that when you changed your mapping you took one of the other actions keys. find which action is unmapped and map it to a key you can use. if you don't or rarely ever use that action, you can map it to a key more out of reach. this game considers EVERY action a critical control. to answer your direct question, tho, the savegame file is found in a different location for just about every operating system, be it XP, Vista, or Windows 7.
