I'm playing through SA on PC again on Steam 3.0 and used the legal version downgrader to get 1.0 so I can use SAAC which lets me use a wireless 360 controller to play. I also downloaded something which allows me to play in 720p and 1080p from http://www.gtastunting.net/index.php?topic=54944.0

When I play and try to pickup a new weapon such as an AK47 I am just standing in the spinning weapon and nothing happens. I have no weapon it needs to replace it should just pickup. It's like this with all weapons and on the Burning Desires mission I had to wait 5 minutes for it to pickup the molotovs and fire extinguisher, so it pickups weapons in 5 minutes of waiting. Pretty weird but is there a fix for this? I've tried with the frame limiter on and off.

Other than this bug, using the 360 controller works perfectly with SA which is great.

Steam is causing a lot of problems for players:
I am find it odd that any 'downgrader' is working with it. But, then again, if you can't do pickups it isn't working is it?

I generally have found that console gamepads aren't worth the trouble trying to get them to work with PC machines. The PS3 and XBox 360 being the worst.
A good USB generic game pad such as the Logitech Dual Action would work without any special drivers.

V3 is exactly like V2 as far as modding goes-ie. Script mods work great, whereas mods that involve you editing files will not work...The ONLY difference is that V3 is not downgradeable like V2 is....I have tried the same script mods on V3(the Steam version) that I tried on V2-ie.
