Do you draw your stuff on paper first with a pencil? Or is your art exclusively done using a drawing tablet? I ask because I used to try to draw with a tablet, but it would keep freezing and cause my lines to start spiking all over the place. Now I do pencil work and colour it in with GIMP, but my work just doesn't have the same vivid colours as your own. The art's superior but the colours look faded and...wrong. How do you get such quality?

I use a tablet. I've probably forgotten how to draw on paper. Well, for colours stuff like the skin tone I use a pinker shade to add blush to some areas and that helps things pop out a bit. Also shading is always a slightly darker and more intense colour of the colour you're shading over, instead of just using plain black and making it a bit transparent.
I'm a terrible instructor and am bad at explaining things so you probably learned nothing.
Here's some more pictures I did.
I'm always working on my Ellie's. In fact I've started making a The Last of Us comic which mostly stars Ellie... none of which I can show any preview of except in the darkest depths of the internets.
