Are you bored? Got nothing better to do? Do you wish to participate in event full of action, where explosions and deaths can be seen all the time. Are you a team player or lonesome warrior? It doesn't matter at all. Join GTA Tag Race (with nice abbreviation GTR) and have fun.
1. GTR is PS3 GTA event held on GTA IV in GTA race
2. There are awards at the end of the event, in terms of signatures/avatars. They will be added during the event.
3. Date, time, tracks and vehicles for each race day will be posted a few days before in the topic.
4. Since event is called Tag race, there will be teams consisting two people each. People to each team will be selected
randomly. And because of that I would like to see even number of people (16 would be fantastic)
5. Rules regarding points:
You will be getting points for both yourself and your team:
Change in points
Points for places (teams):
1st - 5 points
2nd - 3 points
3rd - 1 point
everybody else - guess what?
Points for places (drivers)
1st - 5 points
2nd - 4 points
3rd - 3 points
4th - 2 points
5th - 1 point
Each team consists two drivers: Driver A and Driver B and because of that there are special bonuses:
Driver A is first and Driver B is second - team gets 10 points. Drivers get normal points.
Driver A is in one of first three places and Driver B is last - Driver A gets double points. Team gets normal points.
6. Rules regarding races:
There are three types of races: Circuit, Sprint and Eliminator
Circuit is normal GTA race made up from few laps from 2 to 4.
Sprint is one lap race on long tracks.
Eliminator is type of race that is also called Australian race. On each lap few last drivers will lose their chance to win. They can stay on the track and try to spoil game for other races, but they won't be count. Number of laps and drivers losing their chance will depend on number of drivers.
New racing types introduced during fifth day of racing are Target and Death Race.
Target is open race, where you have to get from start to finish, but there is one but. You need to cross finish line in specified vehicle, which name will be shown in race details, to get points. Crossing line in vehicle other than specified won't get you points.
Death race is modified eliminator, but this time you're eliminated in the moment of your death. You may try to take other races (let's say you're a zombie) but you won't get points when you cross the finish line. Note that you must be alive from the beginning to get the points.
Each racing day will have 4 races, one sprint and one eliminator
7. Rest of the rules were lost somewhere, so we don't need to worry about them. Play dirty, make tricks, kill everybody, even your tag driver if you wish.

If in any case your tag driver won't be able to show up on the racing day, you can use any person willing to help you as hired driver. He will get points for the team, but he won't get driver points. Instead he can earn Hired Driver points and earn titles of best HD and some HD awards which will be shown later.
People who are willing to race alone are also welcome and they can earn some points for themselves.
