Let me get this straight, you hate Independence Day with Jeff Goldblum?? I like the guy, Jurassic Park is the other great film with him attached. People hated JP III, but not me, I just felt it was not as epic, one could say, it echoed what had already been done I guess. I hope people won't post in here just to be hating on Titanic, James Cameron's film. I know the love story might not be a guy's thing, but that's how Jim sold the film to execs, as he explained it a bit like Romeo and Juliet set on the luxury liner's fateful voyage

3D shouldn't feel like a gimmick, but I also feel with the tech available for actual cinema and home use, why not have some material using it? It's not out of cost for the consumer, too much. It also has advanced since 1983, when I first went to see a 3D moving picture! haha Space Hunter!

I saw that doc last night on NatGeo, twas good, but man is Cameron a tool. The whole time it was like "I did this..." or "I went there..." or "I had this idea..." I, I, I, I, I...Jebus man! Probably sure that a couple other people helped you in making that movie and diving down on the Titanic. I heard that he went down to the mariannas trench the other day. Should have just left him down there... orly.gif

Wait a minute there, Cameron got people who are as keen on the history as he is, but ultimately he's the noted celeb in the room who made the film, and it was not an easy task by any stretch, as he also admits, but he was hoping to cap the obsession off and move to a new project with this FINAL WORD programme
Anywho, the old lady who's the survivor from the motion picture I suppose. Rose?

Worth some LOLZ

They're going f*cking mad with this 3D sh*t these days. Titanic, seriously? :| Like someone else mentioned, get the Terminator or something that would suit being in 3D. What about Starship Troopers or Independence Day or something?

Seeing a ship sink in 3D must be awesome, what the f*ck is wrong with you people?

The thing is, that tech is 15 years old and the chinks in it will shine like a motherf*cker, especially in 3D.

I'd prefer robots and sh*t getting smashed over a f*cking boat any day.

One of our residents posted about the time it took to convert to 3D, and that's interesting, but writing it off is also silly, I believe, since I remember the old 3D effects, and the tech is deff not the same!!

Finally watched it today, nothing new really.

Has anyone else that has seen it tried to grab Kate Winslet's boobs?

Yeah, she's foxy, but she's more then a sex symbol, in Pirates she's quite enjoyable, I was in the mood for a film like that, and Johnny Depp does it so well! With the wrong cast, a picture or show can easily be boring I'd say

How are the 3D EFX, seriously, Compared to say, Avatar?

Timely as I was thinking, can anyone name off some real porno titles that came out based on, well, the name Titanic??
I can't recall actually seeing any
Here's a funny news story to go with the above

I saw this last night and really enjoyed it. The 3D really added to the experience because it helped capture the vast size of the ship and the level of destruction.

An excellent example of the 3D really working was when the ship was around a 45 degree angle to when it was at 90 degrees. The people falling off, sliding down and bumping into things was something that was captured in a powerful way with 3D

Kate is also in an article talking about letting her kids see the movie, because of the gala surrounding the 3D release. That Chinese story was amusing, I was relating this to my mom! haha

Not enough explosions for you, right? Some people watch movies for their content, not just effects.

It's just wasted potential. Might as well 3D The Notebook because of its 'content'.

It is not. I've just got back from watching it. Some parts were pretty much the same, but many others looked much better in 3D.

But I'm not wasting my time with you, you obviously wont get it.

Calm yourself, if you have BluRay and add a 3D HDTV to it, you'll be able to enjoy these programs in your own home, and you won't be forced one way or the other, it's also showing in IMAX, which I'd like to see!!
