Imagine iPads, iPhones, laptops, other sorts of smartphones, other sorts of tablets, etc. (think of other gadgets)



The protag owns a smart phone, which is the parody of the iPhone. It's loaded with full features similar to GTA 4's phone. THE iFRUIT!!! Fruit Computers



But here's the catch:

You can load your own music into the smartphone and listen to it in-game. How kewl can it get?

Take pictures and save them.

Play mini-games (lol).

etc, etc, etc.

Maybe surf the in-game internet on your smartphone. How common are internet cafés nowadays anyways?

sorry, pal but i really don't see any point in having gadgets such as the iphone with apps.
I just think it's unnecessary and should just stick to calls and such

I liked the arcade machines, but on your phone...meh, loading music would be fine, not that i would use it.

I miss the camera from San Andreas. I used to take some awesome pics of me and the homies. I thought it was lame as hell that you couldn't take pictures in IV. Please dont reply saying that you could take pictures in IV, you couldn't save them so you might as well have not taken them. So yeah, I hope we can buy digital cameras or phones with cams.

A smartphone with a touch sreen won't work in GTA V! How can you use it in-game anyway.. You have to actually TOUCH the screen!! How can you do that with a controller.. A BlackBerry-like phone would be better

A smartphone would work but i have no idea what else they could add. Upgrading the phone basically, no much else has changed tech wise

Waste of time really, I rarely use anything on my real smart phone never mind a virtual one.
I never understood the need for ingame internet/tv in IV - I waste enough time on this internet without putting a cruddy one in game.

Give me a camera that will save pics to the h/d and thats enough for me.

Nice post I would love to be able to load my own music into a playlist and listen to it when im driving that would be awesome and also i hope there is a gallery of some sort so we can take pictures and view them later

About custom music lists...

I wouldn't want them unless they could incorporate the GTA commercials into your playlist. Like after every other song, a commercial comes on. That would make the playlist feel natural even tho I customized it.

I said this before so I'll just copy/paste:

there were smartphones at the time GTA IV came out. it's not a big deal but I was actually glad they put just a somewhat dated typical phone.
if the phone is used only for simple functions there's no point of dressing it up like an iPhone, etc. it's really cheesy and unoriginal IMO.
so if it looks like an iphone imitation I'm going to facepalm.

I also like the novelty of internet cafes.

Sleep Mode was the most used feature of my cell phone in GTA IV, that says enough.
I''d rather have R* spend time and effort on things that really matter and make GTA V a fun GTA game.
