...no offense, but you'd have to be living under a rock to not know that this has been done TONS of times.
The NBA is growing in popularity, and it is easy to market the game to chunks of the market instead of just the internet. A lot of Americans and Europeans watch the NBA finals; and a lot of Americans and Europeans are in the R* target market. Plus teen through middle aged males who like sports generally like action too. | Then I stand corrected, I really don't whach sports what so ever (besides motor sports) but still I don't see why, unless they want to maybe hit some new fans with the trailer, allot of the long time fans, like us here on the fourms, would find out about it online, which would be cheaper than geting a commercial during a major sporting event, and be easier.

NBA playoffs/finals ad slots are very expensive; so that is where I see things getting cloudy.
