Vice City, Y U NO work?

Leader of the First Instance of Linear Empire Group: Members Joined: Apr 9, 2012	Hi Umm, so... I have a little problem, what I don't know how it came and don't know what to do with it. So, I had a nearly clear Vice City installation, the only mod I had is the XBox wheels and the XBox cars, because they look good, while the game still is the "original". Everything was fine. But today I wanted to install some ped just for fun. So I installed them with IMG tool, but after running the game, it crashed. I tought "Okay, they don't work." I made backups of my IMG file for this case, one of them is the original, the other one is the XBox cars version. But after putting the XBox cars version back (without the new peds), the game starts, but then it freezes with an error on teh screen saying the Vice City DVD cannot be read, or something like that. While before it worked without problem, it's the same IMG file that I had before, nothing got changed! Tried to reinstall the game, after that it was okay as original, but after trying the XBox cars version again, it does the same. Why? There wasn't any problem before, it's the same IMG file as a backup. So, what can be the problem? Why can't it run now, when it could a day ago with the same file? Please help me if you can.

Group: Moderators Joined: Apr 20, 2006	Delete the gta_vc.set file from the User Files folder and try again. If that doesn't solve your problem, then I'm afraid we won't be able to help you further. This forum only deals with unmodded copies of the game. You'll have to look for more help in the modding forums.

If under "legit version" you mean a pirate copy, well, you are right ^^" Yeah, I know. Possibly I'd buy it, but I don't think if I could buy it anywhere (maybe only on the internet), whatever.

Back to the topic, deleting gta_vc.set didn't help D: I really don't know what is the problem. It was working with the SAME file a day ago, and now it doesn't. ._.

Edit.: You say I should put it into the modding section?
