Hey all, i've downloaded the '92 crown victoria vehicle mod by bad religion, a friend wanted me to make it an unmarked cop car, so i did so, put some lights, rambar on it.. on GGMM it looked awesome, but when I looked in-game I soon discovered some sort of glitch, the windscreen was white-ish (from inside the car it was how its supposed to be), and also a part of the chassis above the doors were white-ish, and a part at the engine.
now it isn't like its missing a texture, as it is not fully white or anything, but I think its a 3ds max glitch maybe...
I decided to simply import the crown victoria as it was (not glitched) into 3dsmax and exported it, and there it was, windscreen white-ish, door.. etc, I did not even edit a part of the car.

any help would be appreciated, if anything like skype, yahoo, msn, teamviewer is needed, no problem, i'll do anything to fix this annoying glitch. btw i'm using 3dsMax 2010.
edit: I have fixed the windscreen by removing it and merging LVPD car's windscreen in, but i can't fix the problems on the picture..

Someone give too much specularity on the model, try to import model, open Material Editor, use Pick Material blabla (I don't remember full name now) onto chassis (main mesh of car) and edit each GTA Material. Change power of specular to 50% lower (if it's 40, change it to 20).

A friend of mine has imported the original non-edited model aswell, exported it and did not have the problem, once she added the lights and rambar, the problem occured.. she used the same tactic as i do, import the original un-edited car, import the edited car, remove everything but the lights and rambar, and then link those to the original car, and export.. and the white issue appears..
about your answer, i'm not sure whether this would work...

Hey everyone,
After taking a break from GTA, i made my first mod again, today.
This time on a request of a friend, a Ford Bronco '85 Police vehicle.

I'm really proud on my result, especially since this is the first time I repainted a vehicle aswell, but guess what confused.gif
The white issue reappears, as u can see on the bonnet of the vehicle, white lines at the edges..
I paid a little more attention and I did notice that the lightning of the car changes everytime I assign a texture to a part of a vehicle, e.g. doors

Has anyone figured out how to fix this?

edit: I also need a tutorial about lighting (probably related to this problem) bcoz there are like two different types of white on the car :s
