Bought EFLC for PC when it was released. Got low fps, so I decided to buy it also for my new PS3.
I get the same FPS drops while playing SP as I got in the PC version, but when I go for multiplayer, full lobies (10-16 players) are running at 5-10 FPS!! When I am in a middle of firefights, its impossible to play like this!

So my question is, why do people always say that thier games runs great on consoles? ITS LIE!

Console is same like PC unlike it has more capability. PS3 requires a good Graphics Card too. I know they have installed already but that will run GTA 4 like a suffering ass. Just take the PC, add some mods and improve your gaming.

lol. GTA IV runs perfectly on both my PS3 and Xbox 360. The only time the frame rate drops is when I do multiple car explosions.

Same here. I think the opening poster is just trying to start an argument or something. I think consoles (at least the current gen) CAN have more slow downs if they are old, overused, overheated, etc. but this guy is apparently playing on an PS3 slim, which shouldn't have any problems. Either he's lying or he's got MAD LAG, which does happen sometimes on the internet.

Thanks. Can I use it with EFLC or only in GTA4?
Also, Do I need to install all the mods or pick one?

You should check the modding section for mods that improve graphics and expierience....

Most of them work for EFLC too.

If you want to test al the mods and see which one is good then I don't mind. All of them increase fps.

Well, for me it lags very rarely, and if the game does infact lag, then it only last for about 5 seconds. (I only get lag on TBOGT)

GTA IV has never ever gotten lag, I can play a rocket launcher DM with a 16/16 lobby and not get no lag, maybe it's just my system.

i lag a good bit on my PS3... but that is cause of the sh*tty internet around here... LOL...

but in game, say free roam, my game will lag only when there are a good bit of cops in the area

Thanks for replies, but I dont get it how to install the Visual IV mod.
It says in the readme: copy all folders (without backups) to main folder of game
But if I copy all the folder to main directory, it will look like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\Grand Theft Auto IV
Is it ok?

No. Copy the folder which are inside the Grand Theft Auto IV folder. Those have the files which you need.

I don't understand the complaints. I've been playing GTAIV on my PS3 and FPS is fine, even in crowded firefights or with a lot of traffic / cops on the streets. It never hangs or lags.

The PC version blows in my opinion, even if you have a good PC it may not work just because it's GTAIV. Although some of the controls are a bit better.
