Welcome to the Euro 2012 Prediction League topic!

==Rules==

Those who are familiar with the previous prediction leagues and took part in them certainly know how things will work here. Almost identical, obviously.
Each of the 3 parts of the competition will have different points system and rules. Group Stage, Knockout Stage and the Final Match.

General Rules
General rules about the competition.

-Predictions most be posted before the match, and if they are altered during the match times, they won't be counted.
-Table is updated daily, after every set of matches played, while the 1st post table is updated after every major part of competition, and tabelised after the end.
-Predictions must contain the score, eg 2:1, 1:3, etc, not the team who wins or a betting format prediction(1,X,2)
-Predictions can be posted immediately after they are revealed , or a day or two before the match when the upcoming fixtures will be posted in the topic as a reminder.
-In case of a tie in any of the top 3 positions in the table at the end of the league, winner will be the decided by the amount of bonus points, and will receive an extra 0.1 points to make him stand out.

Group Stage - Rules
This round includes fixtures 1, 2 and 3 of the Euro 2012 Group Stage.

-Correctly predicting the result(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 1:0) will earn you - 1 pts
-Correctly predicting the winner(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 2:0) will earn you - 0.5 pts
-Incorrectly predicting the score/winner(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 1:2) will earn you - 0 pts

Knockout Stage - Rules
This round includes the 1/4 final and 1/2 final of Euro 2012.

-Correctly predicting the result(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 1:0) will earn you - 2 pts
-Correctly predicting the winner(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 2:0) will earn you - 1 pts
-Incorrectly predicting the score/winner(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 1:2) will earn you - 0 pts

If a match goes into extra time, result after the 120 minutes will be the one taken for the predictions.

Final Match - Rules
This round includes Euro 2012 final only.

-Correctly predicting the result(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 1:0) will earn you - 3 pts
-Correctly predicting the winner(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 2:0) will earn you - 1.5 pts
-Incorrectly predicting the score/winner(eg, you said 1:0, and it was 1:2) will earn you - 0 pts

If a match goes into extra time, result after the 120 minutes will be the one taken for the predictions.
Also, you may win additional points after the final match. Refer to Bonus Predictions section for them.

==Bonus Predictions==

a) Group Predictions - 4 points
b) Euro 2012 Winner Prediction (Before the start) - 3 points
c) Penalties Prediction (Before the final) - 2 points
d) Euro 2012 Winner Prediction (Before the final) - 1.5 points
e) First Goal Scorer Prediction (Before the final) - 1 points
f) Time of First Goal Prediction (Before the final) - 0.5 points

a) Group Predictions is a bonus prediction where you guess who will be the 2 teams that qualify to 1/4 finals from each of the 4 groups. For each correctly guessed team that qualified, you can win 0.5 points. If you guess all 8 teams that qualify to 1/4 final, you will gain 4 points. Order doesn't matter, so just make sure to pick 2 teams from each group, who you think will advance through.

b) Euro 2012 Winner Prediction (Before the start) is pretty easy to understand. You simply predict who out of the 16 teams is going to take the crown. 3 points await the one who gets it right.

c) Penalties Prediction (Before the final)
If it gets to the penalties in the Final Match, you'll be able to win additional points
-Correctly predicting the score(eg, you said 5:4 for Spain, and they won 5:4) will net you 2 points
-Correctly predicting the winner(eg, you said 5:4 for Spain, but they won 4:2) will net you 1 points
-All other incorrect predictions(eg, you said 5:4 Spain, but Germany won 5:4, or you said 5:4 Germany, but Spain won 4:3) will give you 0 points.

d) Euro 2012 Winner Prediction (Before the final) is also an easy one. Once the competition reaches the final, together with other predictions for the final match, you go and guess who will win it out of the 2 remaining nations. Chances are 50-50% and you can get 1.5 points with that one!

e) First Goal Scorer Prediction (Before the final) is self explainable. Pick one of the players from the 2 finalists of Euro 2012, who you think will score first. If the match ends 0:0 after regular time, nobody will win any points.

f) Time of First Goal Prediction (Before the final) means you can choose between 1st half, 2nd half, 1st half of extra time, 2nd half of extra time, and no goals. If you get it right, half a point is yours!

Well here we go. As ya'll requested, here am i making the Euro 2012 Predictions topic.
This topic may as well serve for general Euro 2012 chatter during matches, if you'd like, i won't mind (as long as you predict too )

Unlike the Euro 2008 Prediction League when Seddo won the medal, there won't be a medal for the winner of this one, just like there wasn't in FIFA 2010, CL and EL 11/12, EPL ones and all the others after that one. This is just for fun. You'll of course get some sigs and avatars like in the CL and EL ones if you rank top 3 in the end of course.

As for the predictions, we'll have 2 matches every day in the group phase, day after day starting June 7th. As far as i'm concerned, you can either post your entire predictions for all group matches(like it was done in 2008 edition), or you can predict daily 2 matches per day. It's up to you, as long as it's predicted, it'll be there!
I'll personally predict day after day since it's more convenient for me, as for the rest, do as you wish. Table will of course be updated every day!
