Gotta agree with all the Metal Gear Solid ones.

MGS 1 Sniper Wolf's death

MGS 2 EE's (Otacon's Sister) death, that particular moment where Otacon has to leave her. That whole sequence is so well made, even when re-playing the HD collection, that was still some harsh sh*t.

MGS 3 Pulling the trigger on The Boss, but worse than that was that moment when Snake is saluting over her grave with the single tear rolling down his cheek...

MGS 4 Scene where Snake pulls the trigger and you think he's dead. I really felt it when Otacon is trying to tell Sunny where he's gone, and how he deserved a rest after all he had sacrificed for the world. f*ck, made Big Boss' death some much easier. Still, when Big Boss died it felt more symbolic. Like this era of Metal Gear has died with him. That was at the time, of course now we know about Ground Zeroes!!

The Walking Dead season finale. Period.

Nothing can come close. I've cried for half an hour.

The Walking Dead is the saddest series I know. cryani.gif
Episode 3 and Episode 5 softened me up. sad.gif

Only game that ever made me want to shed a tear.

Lisa's transformation in Silent Hill always gets me. Her sudden realization that she's just apart of the town was heart breaking to say the least. Harry locks her in the room alone and all you hear is the depressing weeping and sobs she makes. It's as if she "didn't want to go" yet.

That letter at the end of Silent Hill 2 really made me feel like a gigantic piece of sh*t... especially when you factor the In Water ending where James kills himself. You want a good story and feel like sh*t simultaneously? Play Silent Hill 2.

MGS4's conclusion really made me think about my father and the father/son talks we've had in the past and even to this very day. It's as if for a moment Big Boss was my father telling me advice and important lessons in life. I had to turn off the console and re-evaluate my life for a moment.

Deadly Premonition seemed to be full of quirky references to Twin Peaks (which it ultimately was), but beneath that was a truly emotional story. Full of feels near the end.

The Walking Dead is quite the emotional experience itself. Each episode packs a hard punch full of dread and regret. That moment when Clementine is trying help Lee and motivate him to keep moving forward near the end of episode 5 really hurt... even the final conversation between the two was very saddening.

That's about all I can really think of now.

I may add one from FFX

End of the game when Tidus say's he's final words to Yuna before he fades away

Some parts of it's sequel (FFX-2) are sad too cryani.gif

Nearly forgot the end of Project Zero 2 (Fatal Frame 2)
After you defeat Kusabi and Mio ends up killing her own sister Mayu

It's amazing how much a game can touch you

Fallout 3 main ending: Your father dies to save you and Doctor Li. Later, Dr Li, You and Sarah discover that the purifier must be activated manually, and whoever does will not be getting out of the heavily radiated room, and if they do not the death toll will be horrible. You go in and do it, saving Sarah and lots of others.
The main part that got me though, was the ending part showing the photo of you and your father:

The Walking Dead final scene:

cryani.gif So much emotion. Pleasantly surprised to see im not the only guy who actually balled at the end. So many did.
Also happy it won so many GOTY awards. It totally deserves it.

Also should mention what so many others did,
Silent Hill 2: Marias death, Angelas Suicide and Final Moments where Mary reads her letter to james
Silent Hill 3: Heather finds her father dead
Silent Hill 4: Cynthias death
Resident Evil Code Veronica: Steves death
Resident Evil 3: Raccoon Citys Destruction, and credits
Resident Evil 2: Adas Death
Resident Evil 6: Piers death
Obscure The Aftermath: Meis Death, Kennys Transformation, and Coreys Death
Fallout: Dogmeats death

I've had a few sad moments:

Mafia II: At the end of the game when Joe is taken off in a separate car to be executed.

Red Dead Redemption: John is killed.

GTA IV: When Roman is killed at his wedding and Niko is left with no family in Liberty City.

I wasn't as sad as I was pissed off that they pulled that off in the end. It was a last-minute middle finger to you and ffs why didn't Vito do anything about it? Pretty cheap twist if you ask me.

The Walking death game ending (episode 5).
the part were Lee dies or gets shot by Clem. Depends on what you chose.
(like others allready posted)

Call of Duty: World at War
Chernov's death
(Not something to cry for, but it was pretty sad if you followed the story from his perspective)

Age of Empires 3:
Captian John's death
(Not really sad, but he died in a honorable way)

The end of The Matrix: Path of Neo had me crying at the end. I was young.

When Ghost dies was a very sad moment in gaming. He was nothing short of awesome. I replayed the last mission on MW2 so many times just to exact my revenge and ease the pain.

Its also a pissoff when your disguised as Makarov's friend and he kills you. All of that undeserved bloodshed for absolutely nothing.

Some endings in the Twisted Metal series are pretty saddening, especially in Twisted Metal Black. Others are just disgusting or hilarious.

Assassins Creed 2 had a sad moment when the Templars killed Ezio's family.

How Kratos kills his family

BF3 how your friend gets killed at the end (when you track the bomb).

In BF3 when the tank driver (and father) gets captured and executed on camera on his kid's birthday
