Not sure if you're a show-off or not...but yes.

Also I haven't heard of something called (8 CPUs)...

No I'm not a show-off, I just pasted it from dxdiag, sorry if I came across that way... but thanks for the help.

From the screenshots it seems that theres a lot better laptops out there than mine.

thanks for the replies. Last thing I want my new laptop to do is overheat and bang up everything.

Here is a few screenshots, they dont look the same as othe pictures from the same mod from around the web.

I re-sized the images to 400 height about 710 width so you guys dont have to see a stretched screen.

This is inside my bedroom

Looks fine

Looks fine, lack of reflection but I'm not in a really reflective place

Doesn't look nice with grainy screen :\

This is a bit nicer, but still lacks the amazing youtube videos and screenshots I've seen.

Biggest problem you're having is that you're running TBOGT, EFLC or otherwise known as "Higher than Patch 5 woes." You're comparing apples to oranges in that comparing Patch 6 and 7 to Patch 5 and lower is pointless. Skylighting makes all the difference. If you want your graphics to look as good as in the ENB Screenshot Thread you'll need to run GTA IV with either patches 1030/1040/1004 at the highest. There is nothing better than GTA IV + ENB + 1030/1040/1004 IMHO

/ENTER PATCH 7 FANBOIS and HATERS

I didn't know patch 6 and 7 were not so good with enb...

Do I have to reinstall the game for patch 4?

And will some cars made after patch 4 not work?

Thanks for the help

After Patch 7, you aren't supposed to downgrade it. Reinstall the game, install patch 4 and then install the mods.

If you install Patch 7, then you're not allowed to install patches 1-6 unless you reinstall

I'm worried about buying a new off the shelf PC copy of GTA IV, since I bought Episodes some time ago, but GTA IV has been hard to locate, anyway can you tell what to avoid before spending money, or is it impossible?

@PrometheusX
4-core + Inte Hyperthreading = 8. It's just the way dxdaig reads its. It's like going into the TaskManager under the Performance tab and seeing 8 cores

@Slamman
Not that hard to find at all actually.
Steam has GTA4 (for $20), in fact all of the GTA series (for $50) but for the London 1969 add-on
Amazon has it for $10.88 for the physical copy or $4.99 for download.

I mean in my neck of the woods, until recently, but as I mentioned as of late, MicroCenter is still close by and they'd just gotten two new copies in, at $20 each, so that's mighty fine compared to used software prices. The pawn shops won't take computer PC software, which is rather odd if you ask me

Sorry I don't know anything about hardware apart from hard drive space lol.

I got it to work, found one I liked after looking for ages, so thanks everyone for helping me out.

Don't really see a difference with patch 1.4 to 1.7 lol.

Well, I ran BoGT on my Asus P5Q, and still hoping to make that my gaming rig, which is pre-I series Intel, for the moment, I downloaded the patch that was at the top of Rockstar's page though I can't recall what spec that was, I haven't ran the PC version with a patch or ENB yet, but like many expressing interest, We all like what we see with iCEnhancer

Don't buy off Steam. Steam auto-updates to Patch 7. There are certain places to find IV for free, on the internet. I bought two copies of IV, and two copies of EFLC. All my discs are scratched but I still play IV...if you know what I mean. Razor911 has a good fix for such a thing...

It is getting hard to find GTA IV Disc in-stores.

Well, I never! hahaha I did find the SA Rage download, and I believe you have to have the disc loaded for GTA IV beforehand? It's on this computer now, but it won't run as the specs are pre-dual core, I just wanted to save the file, which is over a Gigabyte in size.
