I don't know if it's good idea, because GTA III is already on RAGE, LCS has mainly changed vertex color and added Fort Staunton, RAGE using as vertex color real shadows and lightning, so it's not making sense.
I can't say anything until I create my work, but if not me, I guess there is Xepomaht007, but I don't know if he would let to convert it to RAGE.

I say just focus on the Renderware version. Many would like to have something that plays more close to the original LCS before one that plays like GTA IV.

I'd rather see a Renderware version that evolves and starts having missions appearing and really recreating LCS on the PC, rather than a Rage one that doesn't get very far, and doesn't even feel like LCS. Though I'd like to see a Rage version too, I'd prefer Renderware with more love put into it.

LCS is a 3D era GTA, so I'd hope the PC Port plays like a 3D era GTA before one that plays like an HD era GTA.

Actually RAGE is using vertex color too, just not as excessive. A big mistake which every III-era to IV made is to completely remove it, it should have been lowered down. It just gives that little extra depth, IV doesn't have ambient occlusion.

You make a good point. It's around IV's LC a little bit. If you turn of the shadows it's more noticeable.

I have a question with the map. Are you guys using the offset LC coordinates for everything (x-335, z+6)? And do you know if anyone is working on the mission script? If the coordinates are like they are in LC, then nearly the entire scm will have to be modified (likely manually) to match it. If they are moved back to their original values, then the game's borders will have to be modified (which is a lot easier to do now than it was 10 years ago when LC started).

If you asking me, I created tool, which can move map where I want by one click smile.gif.
By the way, if map will be moved too far (like original LCS coordinates), then there is no chance to fit it with game menu map confused.gif.

If the goal is just to get the map, it likely won't matter much. But if the team wants the full game, it would be a lot easier with the original LCS coordinates. It's a lot easier to move the map than it is to edit the mission script.

Pretty much impossible. You wouldn't be able to find them all automatically.

Well because its on VC, I'd keep LCS cords. If it was going to be on SA or IV, you might want to lower the map so it lines up with the endless ocean.
