What is up with airport freemode these days? No matter when I join in 80% I end up there.
I know people can set it up (FM) however they want it, but you got the whole city and folks can always go to the airport anyway.

its a popular killing ground for pilots aswell. fortunatly it only takes a few seconds to find another game.

Yeah but it takes few minutes to find a non airport game, and sometimes (like yesterday) when I found one it was only melee weapons... ehh...
I complain to much, still whats so fascinating about spawn killing or driving the runaway back and forth all the time?
First when the game came out it was all fun, different modes like races, DM, co-op etc. Now it's all the above all the time.
Fortunate for the first time in months I found a good "Witness protection" game in TLAD, does people don't realize how fun this other game modes are?

Witness Protection is awesome! But I found so few players on TLAD that I made the decision to remove it from my PS3's Data Utility.
Yes, when the game first came out, Liberty City was a very different place. I think most people prefer the airport because of the general layout. It suits almost all playing styles. Most people aren't very imaginative nor do they know how to set up a good FM. The majority of the things they like doing are best done at the airport.
If you come across a game which is set across the entire city, but everyone has migrated to the airport, look for a way to draw them away from it. It's not that hard to do and makes the game more fun.

Oh it's hard to get everyone's attention, I can try to kill them so they can come after me and there's nothing like the thrill of the chase.
I personally like to do crazy stuff like get on a tall building with a heli and find a way down without it, climb the Algonquin bridge with a bike or getting on buildings through firescapes and ladders in Alderney. And when I create a FM it's always unlimited time, all weapons, high traffic/peds, whole LC.

The A.I. in GTA IV is unbelievably stupid. You can't drive for more than a few seconds without crashing into a NPC. So if I join a game with high traffic, I usually just leave.

Came across yesterday. Everyone at airport while i Dukes Drifted round the city. When I went to drift round the airport, faggots shot up n blew up my Dukes (FF OFF)

Whats the problem? You can always create your own Free Mode. I would like to play Witness too but on PC

the airport is decent... i agree im sick of the matches only set to the Airport... you have a WHOLE CITY... WHY stay at the airport... im just glad TLAD removed the heli's from the airport (SWEET RELIEF)

im a TLAD guy myself... and love Own The City and Club Business... but am like you and notice that everyone plays deathmatches or Free Roam...

Its interesting becouse on TLaD PC there are helis on airport in Free Mode, Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, I dont know about the other modes but probably there are just Mavericks

Actually, they didn't remove them. Although it's quite rare, they do spawn.

I never saw a Annihilator in TLAD except the one I shot down and it still had the rotors , and even if they where there they don't bother me like Buzzards. Those completely ruined TBOGT for people although I try to fight those bastards on my own ( I feel like future Gohan against the androids ) with the Annihilator, my tactic is to strike and run, I know some could say it's cowardly but Annihilator is faster so it gives me an advantage.

@tj11: yes i know this and i know where they spawn... ONLY MAVERICKS spawn though... so that it why its a relief...

@Adrian J.: yes... IT IS possible to get an Annihilator in TLAD, but its a secret... hehe

ey StonesOfDarkness as I said shooting down the Annihilator while chased by cops ain't easy but possible, anyway is that secret of ur's involve the Anni on the helipad somewhere? cuz I know all the helipads in the city.

I've seen Annihilators too. It's extremely rare though.
