How do you mod GTA IV 1.10.002?

I mean, how do you unlock it so mods can be applied?

As PrometheusX said, update your GTAIV to 1.0.7 or 1.0.4. Most of the mods are for these patches.

The download on that page goes to a file not found page.

I've downloaded these but have not tested yet: Patches for GTA4 1.0.4 and 1.0.7

Trying to install 1.0.4 with GTAIV_MAINTENANCE_UPDATE_1040_EFIGS.exe

It said the social junk was not installed, so I installed it...

Now the 1.0.4 updater says GTA is not detected.
I'm running it from the install folder, next to the launchEFLC.exe.
GTA works fine.
It's installed through the gamestop interface btw.

Found some threads on this, tried setting the installer / launcher / EFLC.exe to compatibility mode, no luck so far.

This Thread has all the info to mod EFLC.

I must have read 100 threads before finding this. A link to this thread on every mod page etc would be very helpful

Note that my game was reset to the start.
All I've done is (re)install the social thing, and drop some DLL/img into the program folders
But I don't care. I like to run people over and blow things up, not interested in the original game.
