I think it was actually his car by noticing the number plating but they sold it in 2003 but was then again sold recently.

The license plate. We bought off a guy from Thredbo or something like that in NSW, it was our 5th or 6th Subaru that we owned at the time I think.

If It was Bredbo (A town of 180, only like 120 in 03), it would be strange because I actually lived there haha, i'm a little curious now, perhaps you could ask your parents where they bought it from?
